Why Left-Leaning Is Still Un-American

I was asked about my disdain for the left and my seemingly hyperbolic language connection people who are simply “left-leaning” as a huge political problem. This person assumed I just liked to rant and insult people and that there is room for some “left-leaning” - just ever so slightly leaning.

The issue with left-leaning politics and policies are that they run contrary to Americanism. This country was founded in a counter-revolution against the King and his new global empire. Americans wanted to stay Americans and be left alone. Our constitution as written is profoundly conservative and traditionalist. That is why, during the same period, you had the French Terror and thousands of people’s heads lopped off as they tried to usher in leftist ideology in their constitution, the Rights of Man.

Therefore, to believe in the constitution is to be conservative. Leftward movement is contrary to the constitution and will usher in the same calamity that befell every nation before us. this is why Republicans insist upon following the constitution - when we freed the slaves (my ancestors) we amended the constitution with three amendments. When Republicans pushed for Suffrage for Women, we again amended the constitution. And please note that the Suffragettes like Susan B. Anthony were vehemently opposed to abortion.

When the Republicans fought the Democrats in the 50’s and 60’s to desegregate and abolish Jim Crowe era laws, we had three amendments in place that gave us the foundation for justice to defeat the Democrats like Bull Connor and George Wallace and Robert Byrd.

Every “left leaning” idea is counter constitutional and only comes about through judicial fiat in court decisions written in flowery and meaningless language discussing the “emanations and penumbras” or the “living and breathing constitution” (would you like a living and breathing mortgage?) or all the “rights” written in invisible ink that the left believes is in there.

It is a foundational issue. Leaning left “feels good” and in certain cases may be the correct thing, but you have to do the right thing in a right way or everything built upon it rests on a feet of clay.
