George Bush, Barack Obama and So Much More

No free passes. It’s the 21st Century here in America. We’re not a segregated nation. You could make the argument that everyone feels like an outsider for one reason or another. But our presidential candidates - those in the inner circle, the people whose job will be keeping the States united - they are neither outsiders nor above reproach. So why is Barack Obama skating through this process? Who’s challenging him? And frankly, who’s poking fun at him? He’s human like the rest of us. My nose is too big. George Bush can’t dance. My wife can’t sing. Obama’s ears are too big. There, I said it, or rather typed it. The man has big ears. Ross Perot had big ears and we heard about them more than we heard about his plan for the economy. Then there’s Michelle Obama. She’s finally proud of her country and, oh yeah, there’s the essays she wrote at Princeton that no one’s talking about. No one is above reproach. It’s not prejudice. It’s an equal opportunity roast. Politicians roasting on an open fire … Jack Frost nipping at my nose … See, I can sing. And Jack’s got a good portion if he nips at my nose! Tonight’s show was fun. The callers were great. Of course after that crack about her singing, my wife might be doing that for me.
